Uruguay

Uruguay is a country located in southern South America, renowned for its stability, quality of life and hospitality. Punta del Este

Punta del Este is one of the main destinations in the country and the region. It is located approximately 130 km from Montevideo, with direct access by road. It is a coastal city with good connectivity, well-established tourist services and a diverse range of hotels. It combines an attractive natural environment with urban infrastructure, making it a suitable venue for conferences and events, as well as for a comfortable stay of several days.

Weather in April

In April, the weather in Punta del Este tends to be mild and pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from approximately 15 °C to 20 °C.

It is an ideal time for outdoor activities, walks along the coast, and to take part in academic events without the high temperatures of summer.


Carrasco International Airport – Montevideo (MVD)

This is Uruguay's main international airport.

If you are arriving from abroad, your flight will probably land there. From the airport to Punta del Este, you can continue your journey by land (bus or private transfer). The airport has basic services for international passengers.

From Montevideo

The most common way to travel from Montevideo to Punta del Este is by interdepartmental bus.

The COT company operates regular services between the two cities, with daily departures from the Tres Cruces Bus Terminal (Montevideo) and arrival at the Punta del Este Bus Terminal: 

From Carrasco International Airport

Carrasco International Airport (Montevideo) has interdepartmental bus services that connect directly to Punta del Este, without the need to enter the city centre.

These services allow you to continue your journey to Punta del Este once your international flight has arrived:

Car rental: manual and electric car, and minibus: GOL Rent A Car (mention the physiotherapy conference to obtain preferential rates)
