Conference programme

Dear colleagues in the South American region

It is an honour to address you in my capacity as Chair of the Scientific Committee of the VII World Physiotherapy South American region conference and the VII Uruguayan Physiotherapy Congress, as part of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Uruguayan Physiotherapists Association.

The main purpose of this academic and professional space is to share, discuss and disseminate knowledge, creating a forum for exchange that enriches both those who conduct research and those who apply physiotherapy in their daily practice.

The scientific committee has defined three thematic areas that will guide the meeting:

1. Neuroscience as the basis of movement: a cross-cutting theme for the different specialities in physiotherapy.
2. Technological innovations in physiotherapeutic diagnosis and clinical intervention.
3. Context matters: the therapeutic environment and its impact on the effectiveness of physiotherapy intervention.

The development of physiotherapy as a science and profession requires collective commitment. Your participation will not only strengthen this conference, but will also highlight the advances and challenges in our field, inspiring new generations.

We encourage you to be an active part of this process, sharing your research, experiences and reflections, and joining this space for dialogue and growth.
